Job Description
The Navy disbursing clerk plays an important role in keeping the Navy operating at peak performance. This specialist is primarily responsible for maintaining military pay records. Other responsibilities include preparing payrolls and maintaining related fiscal records and reports.

Training
Nearly every Navy enlisted soldier undergoes eight weeks of basic training, which consists of basic skills needed for Navy activities. Advanced individual training is usually required for specialization. The length of time needed for advanced training varies depending on the area of specialization.
