The Navy Photographer is an integral member in ensuring effective communications for the Navy. This specialist is primarily responsible for operating and maintaining photographic equipment. Duties include:
- Developing motion picture film and microfilm prints
- Taking news photographs
- Processing other film
Training
Nearly every Navy enlisted soldier undergoes eight weeks of basic training, which consists of basic skills needed for Navy activities. Advanced individual training is usually required for specialization. The length of time needed for advanced training varies depending on the area of specialization.
