The Navy Religious Program Assistant helps in ensuring the health and well-being of all Navy personnel. This specialist is primarily responsible for assisting Navy chaplains in religious activities affecting all faiths. Duties include:
- Assisting in management and development of these programs
- Participating in determining resources
- Keeping records of funds and information on these programs
Training
Nearly every Navy enlisted soldier undergoes eight weeks of basic training, which consists of basic skills needed for Navy activities. Advanced individual training is usually required for specialization. The length of time needed for advanced training varies depending on the area of specialization.
