The Navy Boatswain's Mate plays an important role in ensuring effective transportation of supplies and docking activities. This specialist is primarily responsible for a variety of seamanship tasks. Duties include:
- Operating small boats
- Storing cargo
- Handling ropes and lines
- Directing the work of deck force personnel
Training
