Job Description
The Navy Storekeeper plays an important role in maintaining Navy efficiency. This specialist is primarily responsible for store supplies. Duties include ordering, receiving, storing, keeping an inventory and issuing such goods as clothing, food and mechanical equipment.

Training
Nearly every Navy enlisted soldier undergoes eight weeks of basic training, which consists of basic skills needed for Navy activities. Advanced individual training is usually required for specialization. The length of time needed for advanced training varies depending on the area of specialization.

Helpful skills
The ideal candidate for a Navy storekeeper should:
- Have an interest in typing, bookkeeping and general business practices
