| Job Description |
The Navy Builder plays an important role in maintaining Navy efficiency and overall working conditions. This specialist is primarily responsible for constructing, maintaining and repairing wood, concrete and masonry structures. Duties also include erecting and repairing waterfront structures.
Training
Nearly every Navy enlisted soldier undergoes eight weeks of basic training, which consists of basic skills needed for Navy activities. Advanced individual training is usually required for specialization. The length of time needed for advanced training varies depending on the area of specialization.
