Job Description
The Marine warehouse officer is an integral member of the team handling supplies and inventory for the Marines. This officer is primarily responsible for directing supply personnel and inventory that may involve equipment, food, weapons or a variety of other items.



Training

To become an officer in the Marines, you must be a current student or graduate of a four-year college or university. You must also complete an extensive training officer course, which may vary in length depending upon your specialty. There are four main pathways to becoming a commissioned officer:

- U.S. Naval Academy

- Officer Candidate School and Officer Training School

- Reserve Officers' Training Corps

- Direct appointments

An indirect path is through the Enlisted Commissioning Programs.



Helpful skills

The ideal candidate for a Marine warehouse officer should:

- Be a U.S. citizen and at least 19 years old

- Have a four-year college degree

- Show self-discipline, initiative, confidence and intelligence

- Be physically fit

- Be able to handle stressful situations and make decisions swiftly
