| Job Description |
The Marine explosive ordnance disposal specialist plays an important role in ensuring success in battle as well as the safety of Marines and civilians. This specialist is primarily responsible for locating, disarming or salvaging unexploded ordnance.
Training
Every Marine learns to become a rifle expert first. This is an integral part of the 13 weeks you'll spend in basic training, which is one of the most intense training course for any military operation. After basic, you'll attend military occupational specialty training, which varies in length depending on your specialty.
