| Job Description |
The Marine weather services specialist is an integral member of the team ensuring the safety of Marine personnel as well as civilians. This specialist is primarily responsible for collecting, recording and analyzing meteorological data. Duties also include making visual and instrument observations.
Training
Every Marine learns to become a rifle expert first. This is an integral part of the 13 weeks you'll spend in basic training, which is one of the most intense training course for any military operation. After basic, you'll attend military occupational specialty training, which varies in length depending on your specialty.
