| Job Description |
The Air Force material management apprentice is a part of the largest supply unit in the world. This specialist is part of the effort to manage, administer and operate the Air Force effort to provide the supplies and equipment needed by personnel around the world. Duties may vary and include:
- Maintaining stock control and inventory
- Planning and budgeting for supplies and equipment
- Selling in a retail outlet
- Researching and identifying needs in supplies and equipment
Training
Nearly every Air Force enlisted soldier undergoes six weeks of basic training, which consists of basic skills needed for Air Force activities. Advanced individual training is usually required for specialization. The length of time needed for advanced training varies depending on the area of specialization.
