Job Description
The Air Force personnel apprentice plays an important role in both maintaining efficiency and assisting in the mental well-being of all personnel. This specialist is primarily responsible for assisting personnel on many matters, from their careers to family life. Duties may include:

- Maintaining personnel records and files

- Advising personnel on career development, special assignments and life issues

- Scheduling and processing personnel for separation from military life and other changes



Training

Nearly every Air Force enlisted soldier undergoes six weeks of basic training, which consists of basic skills needed for Air Force activities. Advanced individual training is usually required for specialization. The length of time needed for advanced training varies depending on the area of specialization.

The ideal candidate for an Air Force personnel apprentice should:

- Be interested in office work

- Be able to use the necessary tools

- Have some computer skills
