The Air Force traffic management apprentice plays an important role in maintaining efficiency. This specialist is primarily responsible for ensuring the proper preparation of shipments for transport. Duties include:
- Inspecting freight and cargo
- Preparing the proper documentation and forms
- Assisting in quality control activities
Training
Nearly every Air Force enlisted soldier undergoes six weeks of basic training, which consists of basic skills needed for Air Force activities. Advanced individual training is usually required for specialization. The length of time needed for advanced training varies depending on the area of specialization.
