| Job Description |
The Air Force aircraft loadmaster apprentice plays an important role in moving Air Force supplies and personnel. This specialist is primarily responsible for supervising the loading and unloading of cargo, supplies and people on aircraft. Duties include:
- Planning the correct placement of cargo
- Restraining the cargo
- Scanning to detect problems with the aircraft or cargo
- Providing passenger comfort and safety
Training
Nearly every Air Force enlisted soldier undergoes six weeks of basic training, which consists of basic skills needed for Air Force activities. Advanced individual training is usually required for specialization. The length of time needed for advanced training varies depending on the area of specialization.
