The Air Force combat control apprentice is essential to success for the Air Force during battle. This specialist is primarily responsible for air traffic control in remote and sometimes hostile areas. The apprentice is a precision parachutist, an expert in scuba diver as well as a skilled air traffic controller.
Training
Nearly every Air Force enlisted soldier undergoes six weeks of basic training, which consists of basic skills needed for Air Force activities. Advanced individual training is usually required for specialization. The length of time needed for advanced training varies depending on the area of specialization.
