Job Description
The Air Force communication signals intelligence apprentice is an integral member of effective communications. This specialist is primarily responsible for using receiving and recording equipment. Duties include:
- Finding and receiving signals from specific stations
- Interpreting and analyzing communications for specific details
- Maintaining electronic equipment

Training
Nearly every Air Force enlisted soldier undergoes six weeks of basic training, which consists of basic skills needed for Air Force activities. Advanced individual training is usually required for specialization. The length of time needed for advanced training varies depending on the area of specialization.

The ideal candidate for an Air Force communications signals intelligence apprentice should:
- Be physically fit
- Be interested in electronics and radio
