The Air Force ground radio communications apprentice is an essential member on the team providing effective communications. This specialist is primarily responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of equipment, such as transmitters and receivers. This equipment is used for voice and data communications with aircraft and ground stations.
Training
Nearly every Air Force enlisted soldier undergoes six weeks of basic training, which consists of basic skills needed for Air Force activities. Advanced individual training is usually required for specialization. The length of time needed for advanced training varies depending on the area of specialization.
