| Job Description |
The Air Force ground radar systems apprentice is an essential member in providing safe air traffic control. This specialist is primarily responsible for guiding aircraft approaching or departing an airport. Duties also include detecting weather conditions.
Training
Nearly every Air Force enlisted soldier undergoes six weeks of basic training, which consists of basic skills needed for Air Force activities. Advanced individual training is usually required for specialization. The length of time needed for advanced training varies depending on the area of specialization.
