| Job Description |
The Air Force missile and space facilities apprentice plays an important role in the defense of the country. This specialist is primarily responsible for maintaining the environmental control and power generation systems of the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile weapon systems. The ICBM systems are designed specifically for national defense.
Training
Nearly every Air Force enlisted soldier undergoes six weeks of basic training, which consists of basic skills needed for Air Force activities. Advanced individual training is usually required for specialization. The length of time needed for advanced training varies depending on the area of specialization.
