| Job Description |
The Air Force space systems operations apprentice plays an important role in the operation of spacecraft missions. This specialist is primarily responsible for developing electronically transmitted spacecraft commands. Duties include:
- Assisting in constructing command format and mission objectives
- Tracking spacecraft
- Advising on any operational problems
Training
Nearly every Air Force enlisted soldier undergoes six weeks of basic training, which consists of basic skills needed for Air Force activities. Advanced individual training is usually required for specialization. The length of time needed for advanced training varies depending on the area of specialization.
