| Job Description |
The Air Force avionics test station and components apprentice is an essential support member of the aircrew. This specialist is primarily responsible for maintaining aircraft electronic equipment used on the F-16, F-117A, A-10 and B1B aircraft. This gear includes digital computers, communication and navigation systems and flight data record systems.
Training
Nearly every Air Force enlisted soldier undergoes six weeks of basic training, which consists of basic skills needed for Air Force activities. Advanced individual training is usually required for specialization. The length of time needed for advanced training varies depending on the area of specialization.
