| Job Description |
The Air Force F-16, F-117, RQ-1 and CV-22 avionics systems apprentice is an essential support member of the aircrew. This specialist is primarily responsible for determining the operational condition of avionic systems on the aircraft. Systems to be tested include: radar, laser instruments, flight control, attack control and communication and navigation.
Training
Nearly every Air Force enlisted soldier undergoes six weeks of basic training, which consists of basic skills needed for Air Force activities. Advanced individual training is usually required for specialization. The length of time needed for advanced training varies depending on the area of specialization.
