| Job Description |
The Air Force integrated avionics systems apprentice is an essential support member of the aircrew. This specialist is primarily responsible for isolating malfunctions in the avionics systems. Duties include:
- Removing, installing and repairing such systems as the radar and video display
- Updating related records and logs
- Performing and supervising operational status
Training
Nearly every Air Force enlisted soldier undergoes six weeks of basic training, which consists of basic skills needed for Air Force activities. Advanced individual training is usually required for specialization. The length of time needed for advanced training varies depending on the area of specialization.
