The Air Force precision measurement equipment laboratory apprentice is an important member of the US Air Force Metrology program, which plays a role in every operational and support mission. This specialist is primarily responsible for using and maintaining the equipment measuring the precise accuracy of electronic gear. The apprentice also works with various agencies to ensure these standards are correct and up-to-date.
Training
Nearly every Air Force enlisted soldier undergoes six weeks of basic training, which consists of basic skills needed for Air Force activities. Advanced individual training is usually required for specialization. The length of time needed for advanced training varies depending on the area of specialization.
