| Job Description |
The Air Force satellite, wideband and telemetry systems apprentice is an essential member of the team providing and maintaining the electronic infrastructure. This specialist is primarily responsible for maintaining and repairing radio transmitters, receivers and telegraph multiplex equipment. The gear includes microwave trophospheric scatter and radio relay equipment.
Training
Nearly every Air Force enlisted soldier undergoes six weeks of basic training, which consists of basic skills needed for Air Force activities. Advanced individual training is usually required for specialization. The length of time needed for advanced training varies depending on the area of specialization.
