| Job Description |
A National Guard signals intelligence analyst analyzes and reports on foreign communications. These responsibilities are tied to effective communications necessary for successful National Guard operations. Additional duties include:
- Compiling reports regarding combat, strategy and tactical intelligence
- Analyzing foreign communications and intelligence information
- Studying foreign radio signals and locating their source
- Maintaining databases
Training
National Guard training usually is scheduled to accommodate a member’s civilian life, whether it is for the job or school. Each member first attends Initial Entry Training. After basic training, a solider then reports for Advanced Individual Training, which may vary in length depending on your specialty. Training continues for one drill weekend each month and one annual training period, which is usually two weeks in the summer.
