| Job Description |
Assisting in the proper medical care of all Army personnel is the Army radiology specialist. An integral member of the radiology team, this specialist operates fixed and portable radiology equipment. Duties include:
· Performing radiographic examinations
· Developing radiographic films
· Reading and interpreting radiographic requests and orders
· Escorting patients within the radiology area
· Maintaining and assembling radiographic equipment
Training
To become an Army radiology specialist, you must complete nine weeks of basic training, which consists of basic soldiering skills, and 46 weeks of advanced individual training. Classroom and in-the-field instruction covers:
· Patient care
· Radiology principles
· Human structure and function
· Computer literacy
· Radiology laboratory operations

An ideal candidate for an Army radiology specialist should:
