The Army medical equipment repairer plays an important role on the health care team. This specialist is primarily responsible for servicing and maintaining all medical equipment. The equipment requires the use of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, digital, optical and radiological principals.
Training
To become an Army medical equipment repairer, you must complete nine weeks of basic training, which consists of basic soldiering skills, and 15 to 30 weeks of advanced individual training. Classroom and in-the-field instruction covers:
- Principles of electronics
- Use and maintenance of related equipment
