| Job Description |
An important member of the field artillery team is the Army air defense tactical operations center operator. This specialist is primarily responsible for handling early warning signals. Duties include:
- Tracking and identifying aircraft
- Broadcasting warning informaiton
Training
To become an Army air defense tactical operations center operator, you must complete nine weeks of basic training and 19 weeks of advanced individual training. Classroom and in-the-field instruction covers:
- Techniques on ammunition handling
- Operation of gun, missile and rocket systems
