Job Description
The safety of personnel and the success of their missions depend on the efficiency of the Army AH-64D Armament/Electrical Systems Repairer. This specialist is primarily responsible for performing aviation unit, intermediate and depot maintenance on the electrical, electronic, mechanical and pneudraulics systems associated with the AH-64D helicopter. Duties include:

- Diagnosing and repairing the helicopter electrical and avionic systems and components

- Maintaining components and systems

- Loading ammunition

- Maintaining storage facilities

- Troubleshooting

- Keeping records on weapons and subsystems



Training

To become an Army AH-64D armament/electrical systems repairer, you must complete nine weeks of basic training, which consists of basic soldiering skills, and 22 weeks of advanced individual training. Classroom and in-the-field instruction covers:

- Electrical theory

- Procedures relating to troubleshooting

- Techniques for soldering

- Maintenance techniques related to electrical systems
