Job Description
The Army quartermaster and chemical equipment repairer plays an important role in the condition of machinery and equipment. This specialist is primarily responsible for supervising or performing maintenance on chemical equipment, quartermaster machinery, forced air-heaters and special purpose equipment. Duties include maintaining and repairing electrical/fuel heater systems, pumps, decontamination systems, protective filter systems, smoke generator systems and quartermaster and chemical equipment electrical systems.



Training

To become an Army quartermaster and chemical equipment repairer, you must complete nine weeks of basic training, which consists of basic soldiering skills, and 11 weeks of advanced individual training. Classroom and in-the-field instruction covers maintenance and repair techniques.
