Job Description
• The selected candidate will be responsible for the system development incorporating the system Command and Control features like Network Management (Network Planning, Key Management, Network Establishment);
• Distributed Sensor Management, Multi-Sensor Fusion and Common Operating Picture; Situation Understanding (Situation and Threat Assessment);
• Mission Planning (Objective Planning, Ground-space/Airspace Planning, Maneuver Planning Functions, End-to-end UAV/UGV Planning); and Collaborative Network Fires Planning.
• The candidate for this position will work closely in collaboration with other technical leads.
• The candidate will work in a multi-contractor, CLIENT led, team environment, coordinating activities within the IPT and across program IPTs (Architecture, Software, Test & Evaluation and Systems Engineering.)
• Candidate will be an active participant in customer briefings, internal team and management meetings/briefings.
• This position will require travel and is intended to be primarily based in Huntington Beach, CA. Other locations like St Louis, and Seattle may also be considered for qualified candidates.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

• Level 5 - Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry and typically 14 to 19 years experience in an engineering classification or either a Master's degree with 12 to 17 years experience or a PhD degree with 9 to 14 years experience in an engineering classification. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
• Level 6 - Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry and typically 20 years experience in an engineering classification or either a Master's degree with 18 years' experience or a PhD degree with a minimum of 15 years experience in an engineering classification. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
• An ability to obtain an interim and/or final clearance (post-start) is required for this position.
• Experience with military Command and Control System/Software Concept Development, Operational Thread Analysis, Mission System Architecture Development, and Network-Centric Hardware-Software Integration is required.
• Experience in the following technologies is highly desirable: Internetworking technologies (routing, QoS, network management, UML and component based software. Also highly desirable is a working knowledge of real time embedded development, Specification writing, systems architecture design experience, key management distribution systems, and knowledge of systems engineering processes, tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with software development processes and tools usage is a definite plus.
• Candidate should be a self starter who is comfortable working in an ambiguous environment and has the desire and ability to provide technical leadership.
• Prefer degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Sciences.
• Prior Army/military operation experience preferred.
