| Job Description |
Responsibilities:
• Work on projects throughout the entire plant and troubleshoot failures when they occur.
• Maintenance and repair of all A/C and D/C motors and control circuits
• Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions
• Inspect, test, and troubleshoot circuits and wiring.
• Test electrical equipment for safety and efficiency.
• Use blueprints, drawings, layout, or other specifications, and electrical hand tools and voltage-or-amperage measuring and recording devices
• Work independently on projects installing control for packaging and process equipment.
• Have experience running conduit and wiring according to NEC code.
• Participate in the annual high voltage switchgear maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned
Competencies:
• Minimum 3-5 years of electrical trade experience in a manufacturing environment required
• Minimum 3-5 years of electrical troubleshooting and maintenance experience highly preferred
• NJ Electrical License a plus.
• Working knowledge of NFPA #70 National Electrical Code #70E National Electrical Safety Code
• Ability to troubleshoot de-energized and energized electrical equipment and training in proper lockout tagout procedures.
• Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC, ladder logic and Wonderware preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work primarily 1st shift, as well as weekends and overtime as required
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
• Must be able to work at heights up to 25 feet standing on ladders and scissor lifts |
