| Job Description |
VSI is currently seeking for a Program/Project Manager with 5+ years of management experience.
Job duties include:
• Executing day-to-day activities as well as long term planning
• Ensuring overall coordination of all tasks supporting the designated Program Office
• Creating strategies and action plans
• Working with upper management, clients, and peers on request to present deliverables, discuss progress, exchange information and resolve emergent technical problems and issues.
• Monitoring performance of team efforts
• Assisting and coordinating contracted activities to maximize product and service quality and timeliness, and minimize program risk
• Reporting and monitoring plans by utilizing a combination of log reviews, system reports and sampling
• Leading and facilitating client meetings and exercises
• Developing project documentation
• Mapping complex business processes and communicating processes solutions to the client
Qualifications:
• BA in business, information systems or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills
• A self-starter and the ability to work effectively independently and on a team
• Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience in building/managing client relationships.
• Familiarity in developing project management methodology.
• Hands-on experience supporting in large, complex programs.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and Visio.
• Knowledge in Biotechnology & Organic Chemistry, Chemical & Materials Engineering,
• Computer Architecture Software & Information Security, Networking – Multiplex Cable and
Security, Communications, Semiconductor, Electrical, Optical Systems & Components, Designs, Transportation, Construction, Electronic Commerce, Agriculture, National Security and License & Review, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing and Products, and/or Hiring Center preferred
• PMP certification, Sharepoint, MS Project Server, SDLC preferred.
• Additionally, U.S. military and/or government experience and an MBA are both a plus. |
