Systems Administrator
Position Title: Senior Systems Administrator and Intermediate Systems Administrator
City, State: Albany, GA

Core Responsibilities:
• Applications management on COGNOS, CITRIX and similar applications/systems. Work with stakeholders, team members and sponsors to manage and support applications over various operating system (OS) platforms, including Windows, Red Hat Linux, SUN, HP-UX, and VMWare
• Web and OS Management. Provide web systems management of Apache, Internet Information Systems (IIS), Tom Cat, STIG, Microsoft Office SharePoint Services (MOSS), Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), Web Sphere and similar web systems. Support the following operating systems and network components: LINUX, UNIX, Windows, SUN, VMWare, Cabling, Keyboard Video Mouse (KVM) and switches
• Provide administrative support from application servers to data storage, including network devices such as switches/routers, Network Attached Storage (NAS), Storage Area Network (SAN), and Network File System (NFS)
• Enterprise Backup and Recovery Perform enterprise backup and recovery using VERITAS, Net Backup, EMC Control Center and similar backup tools & software: Implement backup policies to include OS(s), business applications, monitoring agents, risk mitigation agents, backup/recovery agents, network devices and storage devices. Perform accurate labeling and cataloging of storage media. Execute all levels of recovery procedures (simple to complex) to include, but not limited to, OS(s), business applications, monitoring agents, risk mitigation agents, network configurations and storage configurations
• Command and Control Perform monitoring functions at the Command and Control Center which is located in a secured facility and will operate as the Data Center monitoring center, coordination office and alarm monitoring center all in one
Support includes but is not limited to:
• Installing application software over a variety of OS software and configure
• Configuring application software to perform optimally
• Uninstalling application software
• Integrating application software with risk mitigation/monitoring agents
• Installing application software and connect to web servers, other application servers, database management software or storage devices as required
• Installing and upgrading network monitoring tools, software, and agents
• Monitoring network performance, where applicable and make recommendations to modify configuration to improve performance
• Communicating network performance issues to resolve latency issues
• Completing Firewall Modification Requests in support of ensuring network connectivity
• Providing recommendations to Government personnel in network design, implementation and modifications for legacy systems. Providing support to unclassified and classified systems
• Integrating web services to OS, application software, DBMS(s), business applications, monitor agents, risk mitigation agents, backup/recovery agents, network devices and storage devices
• Monitoring shall include, but is not limited to:
• OEM,EMC Control Center (ECC), SAN, NAS, NFS, Data Center Server Room and Facilities, Metrics Reporting, Other Performance and Monitoring Tools and Utilities
• Performance, Space, Utilization, Capacity, Virtual Environments, networks, Availability, Security on servers and networks that host: Applications, Web Services, Databases, and Storage

Basic Qualifications:
• Must have 8+ Years with HS or 5+ Years with AA or 2+ Years with BS
Systems Administrator experience (additional for Senior)
• BA/BS degree, preferably in information science, engineering, or business or comparable experience
• At a minimum, must be certified in Security+ and one OS
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Broad technical background is essential
• Secret Clearance and DoD PKI (or the ability to qualify and receive the certification)
Desired Skills:
• Direct work experience with US Government technical staff, customers or agencies
